  Requested a quote for an Structural Engineers Survey last Thursday. I was quoted £400 + VAT. which seemed reasonable. Told I'd receive an email with the quote, I waited.
  
  I received nothing from that day.
  
  As I'm working this week, my partner rang up and they upped the quote to £500 + VAT.
  
  We went back to check with other places and to ensure we were getting the correct report done. GF rang back to make sure it was a SER quoted. the price was then upped again to £750 + VAT.
  
  Either this place is lazy and don't want to make money or they think they can get away with ridiculous off hand quotes.
